FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 30, 2019) – It’s impossible to succeed unless you can define what success is. The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association, or SRMA, is helping local manufacturing businesses establish metrics in line with their goals and objectives at its next roundtable discussion. SRMA Executive Director Neil Kagan will be the keynote speaker for the event on Wednesday, June 19 from 8-9:30 a.m. at CareerSource on 4150 Ford St. Extension in Fort Myers.

“If you don’t measure it, you can’t control it,” Kagan said. “We’ll show you how to take control and develop true Key Performance Indicators.”

Kagan is an efficiency expert who has guided manufacturing companies in process improvement and quality systems such as Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001. He’s had proven success in operations management, quality assurance, process improvement and coaching.

“Chances are your company already has metrics in place, but the ability to process and collect data has advanced to such a point in recent years that those metrics quickly become outdated,” Kagan said. “Let’s talk about some of the newest tools available to help you properly assess every part of your operation.”

The cost to attend the roundtable is $10 for SRMA members and $20 for nonmembers. Visit srma.net to learn about all the benefits of membership and to sign up.

The organization is also conducting a no-cost plant tour of Golden Manufacturing on Thursday, June 13 from 8-9 a.m. at 17611 East St. in North Fort Myers. Call Kagan at 239-560-0052 with any questions.
