Note to Media: Lipman Family Farms is set to host the annual 5K Run for Backpacks benefitting Immokalee school children. Funds raised will go toward supplies for the 8th Annual Lipman Family Farms Backpack Giveaway and Back to School Event being held on Saturday, August 3 at Immokalee High School.
Funds raised at the 5K through sponsorship and registration fill more than 1,500 backpacks with school supplies for students in need. It will also help to cover the cost of free bicycles, clothing store gift cards and children’s haircuts in preparation of the 2019-20 school year. This year, Lipman’s goal is to raise even more funds and ultimately provide more children with tools for success.

WHAT: The annual Lipman 5K Run for Backpacks
WHEN: Saturday, May 11 at 8 a.m.
WHERE: Immokalee High School, 701 Immokalee Drive, Immokalee
WHY: The event raises money for the Lipman Family Farms Backpack Giveaway on August 3. The Backpack Giveaway lends a helping hand to students and families in need and prepare them for the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
