FORT MYERS, FL (April 26, 2019) – The Lee County Homeless Coalition is proud to announce awards to member agencies for a total of $50,000.
This grant opportunity was made available only to members of the Lee County Homeless Coalition. The Coalition is an advocacy and education group made up of community and faith-based service providers, local businesses, people who are currently experiencing or have previously experienced homelessness, and other advocates committed to ending homelessness. The Coalition works with members to identify potential gaps within our local Continuum of Care.
We recognize that our provider agencies are stretched to capacity and working harder than ever to deliver effective services often with diminishing funding. Homelessness is a complex issue that can overwhelm independent agencies that address specific issues. The Lee County Homeless Coalition supports all homeless service provider agencies in their efforts to make homelessness a rare, brief, and one-time experience.
