IBERIABANK’s Valenti Announces Retirement After a 50-Year Career in Banking;
Ft Myers, FL (April 8, 2014) – IBERIABANK (www.iberiabank.com), a 127-year-old subsidiary of IBERIABANK Corporation, announces that after a 50-year career in banking, William “Bill” P. Valenti plans to retire.
“Bill joined our company through the acquisition of Florida Gulf Bank where he served as president and chief executive officer,” said Jim Gburek, regional state president for IBERIABANK. “He has provided invaluable leadership in Lee County which is why we have asked him to continue to be a part of our team as Vice Chair of the Lee County Advisory Board.”

I’ve been fortunate to work for and with great people,” said Valenti. “The merger with IBERIABANK was the smoothest in my career, and I am confident that the Lee County market and our bank associates will continue to thrive under the new leadership. After 50 years in banking, I am truly looking forward to spending time with my family and enjoying my retirement.”
David Gordley, who has served as market president for Collier County, will assume the role of market president for Southwest Florida overseeing both Collier and Lee Counties. Gordley has 25 years of experience in corporate, middle market and commercial real estate lending as well as treasury management services. He relocated to Southwest Florida in 2005 and has been a very active leader and volunteer in the local community. Originally from Ohio, he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
