Fort Myers, Florida – Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., will host its annual HR Law & Solutions employment law conference on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort Myers. Conference Chair Suzanne Boy and Board Certified Employment Law Expert John Potanovic will address the #MeToo movement and renewed focus on harassment in the workplace by providing attendees with guidelines to develop and enforce solid anti-harassment policies and specific actions employers can take to help foster a harassment-free workplace.
The day will kick-off with an update from Attorneys John Agnew and Robert Shearman on recent court decisions addressing contentious employment policies, discrimination, EEOC trends and legislative developments impacting Florida employers. Attorneys Michael McCabe, David Roos, John Potanovic, along with two guest speakers, will discuss best practices when confronted with discipline or termination of an employee with an ongoing workers’ compensation claim.
After lunch, keynote speaker Steve Gilliland, one of the top-rated speakers in the world, will present “Hide Your Goat: Strategies to Stay Positive When Negativity Surrounds You,” exploring ways to head off conflict and find solutions for colleagues to work effectively together.
