FORT MYERS – (May 17, 2018) – The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Southwest Florida Chapter invites you to their annual Media Breakfast “E-mEdia brEakfast – Expectations, Ethics & Engagement” to be held from 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, at the Holiday Inn Airport at Town Center, 9931 Interstate Commerce Dr., Fort Myers. A panel of experts from print and digital media and radio will discuss an evolving market impacted by politics, economy, technology, demographics and more.
The media panelists for the breakfast are: John Gable, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of AllSides; Julie Glenn, Interim News Director and Gulf Coast Live Host at WGCU (our local NPR affiliate); and Theresa Collington, representing the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. As a past FPRA SWFL President and the chapter’s 2017 PR Professional of the Year, Jessica Walker, MA, APR, CPRC, Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co. will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies.
This year’s event will explore the impact of politics, economy, technology, demographics, and ethics with a traditional panel of regional and national media representatives. The expert panelists will discuss the challenges and opportunities of 2018 as it relates to media relations for public relations professionals. This event will be of value to communication professionals, students, businesses, nonprofits, and anyone wanting to gain insight and tips into how to conduct public relations and media relations in this evolving market. The cost for attending the presentation is $40 for members, $50 for non-members and $20 for students, and includes breakfast. Space is limited, please register early.
