Ballpark Festival of Beers; Beer, Baseball & Boom; and Augtoberfest

keep the beer flowing at Hammond Stadium

FORT MYERS, Fla. (July 6, 2018) – The Fort Myers Miracle, host of the popular Ballpark Festival of Beers each January, have been bringing a beer fest to every home game at Hammond Stadium in 2018.

This season, the Miracle expanded its beer offerings to showcase more locally produced craft beers, highlighted by “Scotty’s Miracle Blonde Ale” brewed by Scotty’s Bierwerks in Cape Coral. Others include “Gateway Gold” from Fort Myers Brewing and “From My Cold Dead Hands” by Bury Me Brewery in Fort Myers. Rounding out the list is the “Key West Sunset Ale” from Florida Beer Co. in Port Canaveral, “Pineapple Beach” from Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park and “Conch Key” from Conch Republic Brewing in Key West.

“The craft beer scene continues to surge in popularity, and Miracle fans have been asking for more Florida beers at the ballpark,” said Chris Peters, Miracle president and general manager. “The Miracle have long been a supporter of local businesses and we’re happy to serve locally brewed beers at Hammond Stadium.”

The Miracle also established a partnership with Wicked Dolphin Rum Distillery in Cape Coral, which sponsors a pregame happy hour and drink specials every Friday.

Other craft beers available at Hammond Stadium are manufactured by Blue Moon Brewing Company, Founders Brewing Co., Terrapin Beer Company, Fulton Beer, Goose Island Beer Co., Kona Brewing Co., Leinenkugel’s, Narragansett Brewing Company and Southern Tier Brewing Company.

Hammond Stadium serves many of the national brands on tap or in bottles and cans, including Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors Light, Corona, Michelob Ultra, Miller Lite, O’Doul’s, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Stella Artois and Yuengling. Budweiser sponsors Thirsty Thursdays each week. Coors Light sponsors Two-for-One Tuesdays. Corona joined with Budweiser for Cinco de Mayo drink specials earlier this season.

The Miracle also have announced the return of Beer, Baseball & Boom, offering beer aficionados and baseball fans an opportunity to sample dozens of craft beers without missing a pitch. The event is Friday, July 20 at Hammond Stadium.

On Friday, August 17, the Miracle’s Augtoberfest offers fans yet another opportunity to enjoy a Bavarian-themed beer fest at the ballpark.
