FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 10, 2019) – Hammond Stadium will become the official hangout for Southwest Florida dogs during 2019.

The Fort Myers Miracle are doubling the number of Bark in the Park dog-friendly events this season, offering 10 dates where pooches can sit in the grandstands and take in a ballgame.

“Bark in the Park is a three-hour social event for dogs and their owners, and it’s traditionally one of our most popular promotions,” said Chris Peters, president and general manager of the Fort Myers Miracle. “It doesn’t get any better than watching a professional baseball game with your family, and every Saturday night at Hammond Stadium, that will include your dog.”

Early arriving pooches will receive a special doggy bag filled with treats, and pups of all sizes will be able to cool off at designated doggy pools located throughout the concourse. Lee County Domestic Animal Services is returning as the presenting sponsor for Bark in the Park and will bring several adoptable dogs to each event this season.

Bark in the Park will be held at every Saturday home game during the 2019 regular season: April 20, April 27, May 11, May 18, June 8, June 29, July 6, July 27, August 10 and August 31. All Saturday games begin at 6 p.m..

Hammond Stadium is located at CenturyLink Sports Complex, 14400 Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Fort Myers. General admission tickets start at $7.50 in advance or $9 on game day. There is no charge for four-legged spectators.
