Elizabeth van den Berg appointed to The Florida Bar committee
Elizabeth M. van den Berg, attorney at Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz, P.A., has been appointed to serve on the Student Education / Admissions to the Bar Committee for The Florida Bar. Van den Berg will serve on the committee for three years. The Student Education / Admissions to the Bar Committee help to determine whether or not law schools are adequately preparing their students for the practice of law. The Committee may make specific recommendations to the Bar’s Board of Governors and law school deans in the event that a school is to be providing inadequate preparation of its students for the practice of law. The Committee also monitors and reviews proposed legislation affecting legal education and establishes a means to track the success of minority scholarship programs in an effort to help institutions in the disbursement of minority scholarships.
A Florida native, van den Berg has been with Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz. P.A. since 2008. A graduate of University of South Florida and Florida State University College of Law, van den Berg focuses her work primarily on Personal Injury and Insurance Coverage cases in Fort Myers and Port Charlotte.
