MEMBER ADVOCACY COMMITTEE
Mission
The Member Advocacy Committee acts as a voice for business on legislative, community and economic development issues within Greater Fort Myers through leadership and education.
Primary Goals and Activities
• Utilize an Evaluation form to identify a priority list of issues that will be tracked. The priority is established through committee discussions and input from local business leaders and owners.
• Pursue dialogue with local, regional, and state legislators. Based on those discussions, provide local businesses with relevant information to help them navigate future decisions.
• Be a resource for members on new or modified legislation that impacts Chamber members.
• Create useful and meaningful forums for discussion and understanding members’ views on issues and/or proposed legislation.
