Community Cooperative Promotes Brooke Martinez to Director of Volunteer Services
Martinez will lead volunteer engagement and community outreach initiatives supporting hunger relief programs across Southwest Florida.
FORT MYERS, Fla. (December 10, 2025). Community Cooperative is proud to announce the promotion of Brooke Martinez to Director of Volunteer Services, effective November 1, 2025. In her new role, Martinez will continue to oversee volunteer engagement and program support across the organization’s essential hunger relief initiatives, including Able Garden, Food Literacy in People (FLIP), Meals on Wheels, Sam’s Community Café & Kitchen, the Community Market, and Mobile Food Pantries.
“Many people think they don’t have time to volunteer, but even giving just two or three hours once a week, or even once a month, can make a huge impact in the lives of the people we serve,” said Martinez. “It’s easier than ever to make a difference in our community.”
Since joining Community Cooperative in 2023, Martinez has played a pivotal role in expanding and strengthening the volunteer program. Under her leadership, volunteer retention has increased by 51 percent, program coordination has improved, and partnerships with local businesses, schools, and civic organizations have grown significantly. She aims to continue expanding volunteer engagement to ensure Community Cooperative can meet the increasing needs of individuals and families across Lee County.
“Brooke’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to our mission have been instrumental in strengthening our impact,” said Stefanie Ink Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “Our volunteer participation and retention continue to climb under her leadership, and she is building meaningful connections that inspire people to get involved and serve their community.”
