FORT MYERS, FL (Dec 14, 2022)- Live music continues at the Alliance for the Arts in partnership with Grand Piano Series. Each Family Friendly concert is limited to thirty-minutes to ensure the best experience for all ages. Our youngest community members are free to crawl, walk, play, and otherwise enjoy themselves throughout the performance!

Boyd Meets Girl Duo kicks off the series on February 11 from 11-11:30 a.m. Boyd Meets Girl pairs Australian classical guitarist Rupert Boyd with American cellist Laura Metcalf. The duo has toured the world sharing their eclectic mix of music from Debussy and Bach to Radiohead and Beyoncé, and their two studio albums have been streamed well over 2 million times on Spotify alone.

Baloudret Quartet is the second concert, happening on April 22 from 11-11:30 a.m. The Balourdet Quartet, based in Boston, Massachusetts, is currently in residence at the New England Conservatory’s Professional String Quartet Program. The quartet received the Grand Prize at the 2021 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, as well as prizes in international competitions including the Banff, Paolo Borciani, and Carl Nielsen competitions. They were also awarded the Gold Medal at the 2020 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the 2021 Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition.
