Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner recognized with Outreach Effort of the Year Award Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition acknowledges firm for help with driving safety

FORT MYERS, Fla. (July 30, 2018) – Nearly everyone who drives in Southwest Florida is bound to encounter one of several new roundabouts on our roads. And because of an awareness campaign funded by Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured, more drivers will know what they need to do to stay safe. The firm was recently recognized with the Outreach Effort of the Year Award from the Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition (IPC) for its support of a televised public service announcement on roundabouts.
When the initial seed money for the ad ran out last year, Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner stepped in to provide the tens of thousands of dollars worth of funding necessary for it to continue to run.
“Because of this, it is estimated that the safety messages in the PSA were seen by 4,696,000 people, or 99.6 percent of all TV households in the region at least once,” Lee County IPC Chairman Brian Raimondo said.
This recognition is in keeping with the firm’s commitment to improving the quality of life for people in Southwest Florida. Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner supports a number of community organizations, including Captains for Clean Water, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) and the Annual Make a Difference Awards for local students.
“We have the responsibility to represent folks who have been injured by the negligence of others, but preventing injuries from happening in the first place is a passion of our firm and family,” Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner trial attorney P.J. Scheiner said. “This mission was started by my mother, who worked closely with organizations such as MADD and Lee County IPC, and all of us are proud to carry on this legacy.”
Visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEfVmm2bwa4 to watch the PSA.
Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured, was founded in 1971 by Bruce L. Scheiner and his wife, Cheryl Scheiner. Both continue to work alongside their son, P.J. Scheiner, who joined the firm as a trial attorney in 2007.
Today, Bruce and P.J. work side by side in the negotiating room and the courtroom, where they fight to secure full and fair restitution for each and every client they have the privilege of representing. Bruce Scheiner still hand selects each case the firm accepts, personally assembles the team best able to see the case through to settlement or trial, and oversees every case from intake to resolution.
Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured, has the knowledge, experience and resources to handle all types of personal injury and wrongful death claims for clients across the state of Florida, including trucking accidents, boating accidents, airplane accidents, nursing home neglect and abuse, construction accidents, defective product claims, premise liability claims and injuries to children.

Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co., P.A. Makes Top 100 Best Companies List

FORT MYERS, FL (July 23, 2018) — Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co., P.A. (MNMW) was recently named one of Florida’s Best Companies To Work For.
The annual Best Companies list is featured in the August issue of Florida Trend magazine. One-hundred companies are ranked in small, medium and large employer categories.
To participate, companies or government entities had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and have been in operation at least one year. Companies that chose to participate underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
“Employers we speak with talk a lot about how workplaces are changing and how young employees expectations are changing. For the Best Companies issue this year, we spoke with new hires and got their perspectives on what attracted them to the companies where they now work and what they now like best about their workplaces. One key concern that young workers talk about is whether the company seems to care about more than their academic record and technical qualifications,” says Executive Editor Mark Howard.
“The best companies obviously provide strong pay and benefits to their employees, but they also offer fun diversions,” says Florida Trend Publisher Andy Corty, “And these top companies encourage employees to participate in the organization’s overall success with training and open communications.”
The Best Companies To Work For In Florida program was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council. Best Companies Group managed the registration, survey and analysis and determined the final rankings. For a list of the 100 Best Companies To Work For In Florida, go to www.FloridaTrend.com/BestCompanies.
