2014 Imagine Gala Theme Raises $75,000
“Underwater Wonders” an extraordinary evening benefitting the Imaginarium Science Center and area children
Fort Myers, FL (February 20, 2014) – The Imaginarium Science Center is pleased to announce The Imagine Gala 2014, “Underwater Wonders” raised $75,000 for the Imaginarium Science Center. The Imaginarium wishes to thank the more than 300 attendees who gathered for a night of incredible food, terrific auction items and the opportunity to view the beautiful new waterways-themed exhibits. It also extends its gratitude to its generous sponsors.
Area students transformed local leaders into sea creatures in an inspired array of collaborative art pieces. Guests voted for their favorite while making donations toward the Imaginarium summer camp scholarship fund. The winners were Sandy Stilwell as a seahorse, Norman Love as an otter and Mayor Randall Henderson as a stingray. All of our art subjects were very kind to lend their faces to this fun project, which helped the Imaginarium highlight important waterways issues affecting Southwest Florida.
